Another example of our commitment to this movement is the Foundation’s active role with leadership of the World Economic Forum’s Trillion Trees Initiative (1t.org). This platform aims to inspire additional ambitious goals for forest management and restoration around the globe, including the planting and restoration of one trillion trees around the world by 2030. Dan Lambe, President of the Arbor Day Foundation, has joined the stakeholder council of the U.S. chapter of 1t.org.
The Arbor Day Foundation will leverage the momentum and success of the Time for Trees initiative towards helping 1t.org in this important global effort. We appreciate the World Economic Forum’s work to help shine a spotlight on the urgency around trees and forests. We recognize the important role we play as a partner to help advance credible and innovative tree planting work around the world and are excited to showcase the collective work of our members, donors, and corporate partners.
